The roles of the Parish Finance Council go beyond the simple administration of church goods. The board has a missionary dimension in that, at their level, they are to be concerned with the proper development of the life of the parish.
The Parish Finance Council has distinct responsibilities from those of the Parish Pastoral Council and functions autonomously of it, but not in isolation from it. The two bodies work together to establish pastoral budgets and consult each other before taking important decisions.
